Catrina was a member of St. Anne Woods Chapel.
She was a foster grandparent, member of Greater St. Paul Baptist Church and also an usher, Sunday school teacher and church treasurer. Preceding her in death were her father, Howard Jones (just recently, on Oct. 2, 2018) and mother, Sarah Jones; two sisters; and one brother. She was born March 1, 1951, in Starksville, Miss., the daughter of Wilbert Higgins and Alma L. Johnson. Preceding her in death were her husband; one son; one granddaughter; three sisters; and one brother. Mrs. Henderson retired as a mental health technician from Manteno State Hospital in Manteno. She was a resident of the Pembroke Township area for 57 years. She was a member of Christian Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Hopkins Park and on the church's Mother's Board, a member of AFSCME retirees group, Pembroke Senior Citizens' group and an Avon representative for 20 years.
Saturday until the 11 a.m funeral service at St. Anne Woods Community Chapel in St. Anne. Mr. Jones was farmer and resident of the area for 48 years. His hobbies included horseback riding and raising animals.

She was born Nov. 11, 1936, in Sicily Island, La., the daughter of Brazil and Lettie Page Virgin. She was born Oct. 3, 2016, in Chicago, the daughter of Anthoney Jones and Kiara Young. She was born June 3, 1937, in Hernando, Miss., the daughter of Wessinger and Annie Craigen. She was born Feb. 8, 1932, in Chicago, the daughter of Walter T. Jones and Della Jones.

Cremation rights will be accorded. Death by his wife, both parents, 4 brothers and 2 stepchildren. She was born July 6, 1945, in Shaw, Miss., the daughter of Horace Misters and Essie Mae Smith. She was born Aug. 26, 1916, in La Crosse, Va., the daughter of James Harris and Lelia Spencer.
Juanita married the Rev. Louis Barnes on Aug. 20, 1954, in Kosciusko, Miss. She was born June 16, 1954, in Hopkins Park, the daughter of John Giddings and Zelma Castleman. Funeral service at St. Anne Woods Chapel, E 6000 S Road, Pembroke Township, with the Rev. Louis Barnes officiating.
Carlos was a transporter for Homehealtcare company. He was an area resident for 30 years. His hobbies included working on cars, and watching the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. He attended New Jerusalem Seventh Day Adventist Church in Bradley.
Burial will follow in Momence Cemetery, Momence. His hobbies included singing, playing guitar, listening to Jazz Music, and spending time with family and church members and members of his community. Friday, July 23, at Leggett Funeral Home in Hopkins Park. Saturday, July 24, until the 10 a.m. Funeral services at Church of the Cross, East 2260S Road, Pembroke Township. Evangelist Rose Bobo will officiate.
His hobbies included listening to music, being a disc jockey, reading, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Surviving are his mother, Melissa Boice, of Pembroke Township; stepfather, Juan Carlos Valdez, of Pembroke Township; one brother, Mantrell Bishop, of Kankakee; his maternal grandmother, Kathy Boice, of Pembroke Township; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Surviving are his wife, Vergia Williams-Lafi, of Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, Jareshia Lafi, of Columbus, Ohio; one son, Brandon Williams, of Columbus, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Caremena Bailey, of Milwaukee, Wis.; one sister, Ernestine Lafi, of Pine Bluff, Ark.; three brothers, Farris Lafi, of Chicago, Jamaluddin Lafi, of Pembroke Township, and Jaleel A. Lafi Jr., of Pembroke Township. Friday, June 11, at St. Anne Woods Community Chapel, E 2500S Road, Pembroke Township.

Callie’s hobbies included listening to the Blues, spreading God’s word from the Bible, watching basketball, and playing computer games. Later she would then move to Pembroke Township with her family to take on the role of caregiver, which was her passion, while raising several of her grandchildren, she also cared for many daycare children as well as supporting her community largely. Saturday, Aug. 1, until the 11 a.m.
